It's a very busy week - lots of hearings in Congress. Here's my short list:
Tuesday, 9:30 am - Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs
To hold hearings to examine two years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, focusing on housing needs in the Gulf Coast.
Tuesday, 9:30 am - Senate Judiciary
To hold hearings to examine streghtening the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
Wednesday, 10 am - House Armed Services
Mark up of H.R. 2826, to restore habeas corpus for individuals detained by the United States at Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and for other purposes.
Wednesday, 2 pm - Senate Appropriations
To hold hearings to examine proposed budget estimates for fiscal year 2008 for the President's supplemental request for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thursday, 10 am - House Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on the Middle East & South Asia
